Obscured by Clouds

Penumbral Shadow

So I got up this morning, around 4:30 to catch the Lunar Eclipse.

It was pretty much a bust. All I got to see was the tail end of the penumbral shadow, before reaching totality. By the time the moon was fully in the earth's shadow, it had sunk far too low on the horizon, and was obscured by clouds and light pollution, leaving just the faintest blurry glow behind the clouds.

By that time, it was 6 am. Now normally I try not to get up before 7. Usually around 7:30. But hell, it takes me a good hour to get to sleep in the first place, nevermind getting back to sleep. So I opted to just stay awake.

I chose poorly.

I can't remember a time when I've been that tired at work. Shit. I might as well have not slept at all!
